- Barry Allan Bogin é Professor de Antropologia no Department of Behavioral Sciences; na Universidade de Michigan-Dearborn (USA).. Field; Birth to Ten Study, organization and analysis of data of the growth and development of infants and children born in Johannesburg and Soweto, South Africa; Research design/proposal preparation for a new study of the bio-social correlates of rural-to-urban migration in Guatemala. Tem desempenhado funções relevantes em várias destas revistas científicas, especialmente no concelho da Human Biology. Publicou vários livros dos quais se destacam: The Growth of Humanity (2001); Human Biology: An Evolutionary and Biocultural Approach (2000); Patterns of Human Growth (1999); The Family as an Environment for Human Development (1996) em co-autoria com N. Wolanski; e Human Variability and Plasticity (1995) em co-autoria com Mascie-Taylor.
